The man behind the character Wesley Wyndham-Pryce is none other than Alexis Denisof. Born in Maryland to the son of Russian immigrants. He grew up in Seattle, Washington with his mother and later attended boarding school in New Hampshire.

After graduating high school Alexis left for Europe where he began to study theatre at the London Academy of Music and performing arts. He also joined up with the Royal Shakespeare Company where he began shaping his acting career in the theatre and then television and movies.

After fifteen years in Europe Alexis headed back to the United States where he began work on a failed pilot for a television series called Ghost Cop. He then landed a guest starring role on BtVS as Watcher Wesley Wyndham-Pryce.

His appearence on the series was slated for only two episodes. However the two episode appearence grew into the rest of the season and eventually led to his current role on Angel. Luckily for fans of the show and Alexis, Joss Whedon, the creator of BtVS and Angel, had a remarkable fondeness for the actors range both in comedy and drama.

Alexis is also a fan of British soccer and is married to former BtVS and Beyond City Limits co-star Alyson Hannigan.
